Eric was born about a mile from Black Bayou, a sleepy backwater in Caddo Parish, Louisiana. His first novel was Ghost of a Chance, a murder mystery set in the Caddo Lake area of northwest Louisiana and east Texas.
Eric now lives in Edmond, Oklahoma and writes extensively about the Mother Road, Route 66, and his Okie private investigator Buck McDivit. He is also the author of more than sixty short stories.
